Patrick Jester is the Corporate Compliance Manager and Information Security Officer at Michelli Weighing & Measurement, headquartered in Harahan, Louisiana. Patrick began his career as a U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter repairer and crew chief. After his military service, he served in various roles as a retail manager, Airframe & Power Plant technician, and truck driver before finding his way into the world of Metrology. In 2004, while earning his degree in electronics and computer technology, he landed his first job as a Calibration Technician with a calibration laboratory in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
 

In 2018, he earned his Juris Doctor at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Since graduating law school, he has found new ways to apply both his engineering background and legal education to the industry he currently works in. With sixteen years of experience in Metrology, coupled with strong legal and business acumen, Patrick brings a unique skill set and perspective to the overall industry.

He is a member of NCSL International where he currently serves as the NCSLI Louisiana Section Coordinator. Patrick is also a member of the A2LA Accreditation Council. In addition, he has also volunteered to be a member of A2LA's Measurement Advisory Committee, (MAC) to work with the Force and Mass Working Groups.
 

Patrick’s hunger to learn and passion for people has fostered a desire to be a perpetual student of leadership. While developing his own curriculum and methods, he found a fondness of the teachings of John C. Maxwell. Much of what Patrick feels he has learned about leadership he attributes to the Bible, and has a solid faith in Jesus Christ.
 

Patrick has been happily married to Carol since 2004, and is the proud father of four amazing children.
